Doesn't that mean that the game isn't ready? Anti-aliasing is in no way a game breaker, I'd happily play without it, but AA is very commonly considered a given with games today. SEGA will have none of that, they will do just like with Empire and fiddle around just enough to have a vague appearance of support while working on another "Stand alone expansion" like Napoleon was to Empire, and basically give a giant middle finger to everyone who bought in early.įor heaven's sake, they broke the game with their "patch", and even beyond that they knowingly disabled anti-aliasing because "it wasn't ready". ![]() And that is specifically because SEGA bought CA and chose to stamp out games before they are really ready.Īlthough it's not fair to call it a beta-test really because those are FREE and done with the expectation that feedback will be acknowledged, responded to, and problems found would be addressed and remedied. Rome and prior TW games were properly supported and worked (to this day Rome is arguably the best and most functional TW game), but that was Creative Assembly back when they were still free, from Medieval 2 onward the Total War series has been a continuous beta-test. I stopped playing for 3 month before starting again finally they had enough patches to fix that. I tried playing with out the trailer, still crashes.
